        • I've had a nice tinnitus ring for a few days (that I can't really blame on a recent live music event) and saw this timely article linked on Twitter. It's an NPR All Songs Considered list of some new protection ear plugs I hadn't seen before. I tend to go with the time-tested Etymotics, but if fit has been an issue one of these might help.

I was surprised that they didn't review Eargasm ear plugs. I've tried Etymotics (several types), Earpeace, and Eargasm, and for my money, the Eargasm ear plugs are both more comfortable and better sounding than the others.

            • I've been using Eargasms since the fall and like them the best also. The fit and sound are both the best of what I've tried.

Do you use the cord with these, and does the sound filtering change when you cover the tuned port?
