If you took that ride today, about $10. Hard to gauge what peak pricing might do on a festival day, especially when any data point is 3 years old. You'll certainly hit peak pricing going home, right when the fest ends at 7, but leaving early or hanging out for a while after can mitigate that. -
How much does rideshare usually run from French Quarter or Marigny to the Festival? Trying to figure out the transportation piece myself as well as lodging.Leave a comment:

If you're staying in the Marigny, no. The Express pick up points are far from there. If you're near a pick up point, then maybe.
It's generally less efficient heading to fest, Express folks wait in line while Uber/Lyft/cab folks are picked up at there door and on the way. It does drop yu inside the gates, which can same several minutes vs walking from the rideshare/cab drop off points. On the way home, the Express has lines too, but probably a shorter wait than the cabs.
Cost is more than a cab. If you're solo, it may be cheaper than rideshare, but if you have a group, rideshare will be cheaper - unless it surges, of course. If you don't have your tickets yet, you can buy Express+Fest tickets together from Grey Line and avoid all fees, saving money that way.
Also consider the city bus. Reasonably efficient, and the $1.25 price can't be beat.Leave a comment:

Jazz Fest Express
Have been using Uber/Lyft from where we usually stay(Marigny) and am interested in finding out if the Fest Express is efficient and worth the money? Thanks for any input.Tags: None
