Paddy, leader of The Chieftans, died yesterday at 83. Just as I was getting into them.

Wonderful guy who fronted a wonderful band. Saw them many, many times. The gateway drug for many people into Celtic music.

Paddy Molony was a great Irishmusican, composure, and record producer. His death was a loss to the Irish music industry.
