NRBQ's first new album in eight years, 'Dragnet'
Ladies and gentlemen, the story you are about to hear is true ... NRBQ’s first new album since 2014 is about to unleashed! No names have been changed and no one is innocent. NRBQ released its self-titled debut in 1969, and toured and recorded consistently until its 35th anniversary in 2004, when they took a hiatus until 2011’s Keep This Love Goin’. The band’s lineup is keyboardist Terry Adams, guitarist Scott Ligon, bassist Casey McDonough, and drummer John Perrin.

Ladies and gentlemen, the story you are about to hear is true... NRBQ's first new album in eight years is about to unleashed. No names have been changed and no one is innocent. In addition to their version of the 'Dragnet' theme, the album contains 10 new, original songs, all of which were written or co-written by the band-including Terry Adams' "Sunflower," which was originally recorded for the 2018 film Change In The Air. Any release of NRBQ music is a cause for celebration, but after nearly a decade since their last full-length studio release, Dragnet brings the band back to the turntables and live venues of America. Though they don't carry a badge, they are going to work, and after more than a year away from live performances, this is where they come in. So do your part and safely celebrate the release of Dragnet when they come to your city and in the meantime, duh duh duh duh!

But for the Q I venture back to this once glorious Bored with news that the New Rhythm and Blues Quartet (though no longer new, not really rhythm and blues and frequently larger than a foursome) do indeed have not only a new studio recording and tour but spring tour dates with our beloved Bonnie Raitt. Go see this band even if it costs you your job and breaks up your family. It will be worth it. Check out nrbq, com or nrbq headquarters and the nrbq appreciation page on Facebook for those hip enough for that. Well, that's all for now.
Facebook does have a Threadhead page, but then you keep getting separate Threadhead friend requests which you take to not hurt any feelings. Pretty soon it turns into a big mish mosh and without the old board names, I don't know who anyone is anyway. Stupid.
FB rant over.......for now.
NRBQ and Bonnie Raitt ? Another affront to the the Beatles legacy.
