Everyone was happy with everything they chose. Don't miss the chocolate decadence cake.
Sounds great! We have reservations there already!

Is there any place that still requires a jacket at lunch? Maybe Galatoire's does?

Neither Commander's nor Antoine's did on my last visit, and Commander's lunch still offers incredible deals, not to mention the fact that it's quite delicious. I'd eat lunch there whenever I could, although I think you guys are not fans of the place.

A little more casual is Muriel's in the French Quarter, which I go to just to have the crawfish crepes (my favorite!) If you want casual and have a car, Willie Mae's is my favorite fried chicken in the city!
hey doll- non fest day! Commander's in on the radar just didn't know if there was something else...will we see you this year for fest I hope??

actually for all of our years traveling to NOLA we've never been so that is why I'm thinking that- but just had to ask my foodie friends what they think...we had several years we still made fest even being unemployed so 'on the cheap'- now we get to go for a delicious meal someplace....

Our comfort food lunch is Praline Connection. Also enjoy Court of Two Sisters Brunch served all day.

Not sure why you need a car to eat at Willie Mae's. We walked over there, which allowed us to walk off that delicious fried chicken after lunch. But my husband tends to be pretty hard core about transportation - no "death march" is too far!

August and Coquette both have a great prix fixe lunch, I enjoyed both very much. Emeril's has one too but I've only eaten there for dinner.

Willie Mae's now has a 2nd location on St. Charles near the Riverbend so it is accessible via streetcar.

Haven't been to the 2nd Willie Mae's even though it is near my house. I believe it is still going as the location is one of those spots no one seems to be able to make work but I hope they do!

Love Praline Connection. My favorite fried chicken livers. With pepper jelly. Rowen, consider the seafood martini at Pelican Club. Fabulous.

I'd love to try Emeril's chocolate souffle.

Court of Two Sisters before Rosiefest last year was perfect. Tempted to go again this year?
