  • Volunteering for Fest

Last time I went to JF I volunteered at Piano Night. I worked for about half an hour schlepping boxes and then I was free to do whatever I wanted to do. Of course, I stayed and listened to all the pianists. I had as good a time at Piano Night as I did at the fairgrounds and I didn't have to pay to be admitted. I'm thinking of volunteering at JazzFest. I know about Miss. Lena, but I don't want to pour. If I volunteer at the fairgrounds do you get a ticket to stay for the day?Can you go into the Grand Marshall sections? I know you can't apply to be a volunteer until January, but I'm interested in doing it. Thanks for the help.

Entrance is free on days you volunteer. They give a t-shirt if you do a certain number of hours. Access depends on the assignment.

I believe you also have to attend a meeting or two in advance of Fest.
