I have been to the SF Fillmore many times and never recall feeling too packed in or crowded. You can always get out of the pack and go to the back or upstairs if you need a break. Hope the new venue works the same.

Same here. The Fillmore SF has always been a comfortable venue.

And you could get a lot lot worse than the Foo Fighters music, plus their attitude and respect was fine and their crew were OK in the numerous times
            they have been down here.

LOL. I've been thinking the old rev and jj have similar personalities. The new improved rev, not so much.

No, it is a stand alone building/auditorium that was used on the black circuit before Bill Graham took it over in late 1965. As a native San Franciscan, I resent the selling of the name as it is such a sacred and important venue in rock and Bay Area history and so connected to Bill, it deserved to be singular. Nowhere else will ever be the Fillmore.

I respect that. And I think NOLA has enough culture of its own merit that it doesn't need to import venues from elsewhere. I hope that doesn't sound mean or nasty, I keep re-writing the sentence.

Not at all. Not trying to be mean either. I just have a lot of respect for Bill Graham. I saw some pictures from inside today and it does look like a nice venue.

OK you hate the Foo Fighters.

Well either that or you are very good at blocking out noise as you walk around shopping centres and anywhere else for that matter, or you have the mute button on when you watch TV.

Which I do, especially when adds are but I don't watch mainstream TV very often.

Maybe you don't get subjected to some of the other styles of music or muzak like I and many others do from time time.

                          If so you are lucky.

To be honest with you I rarely if ever go to a mall and I've yet to turn on my tv this year except for a few minutes of The Pats playoff game before heading to the dome. And yes, there is a lot of crappy music out there, that's for sure. I do try and insulate myself from most of it. I used to like a fair amount of popular music growing up but those days are long gone!
