It was our original intention to do that but the weather has not been conducive, to say the least. Don't typically take snow vacations at Memorial day.

    • Two nights at Red Rocks were great as usual last weekend. Night 2 opened with this assisted by Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke.

I am going to make Red Rocks someday, and this is the band I will see there. 2 different groups of friends flew in for String cheese . one set virgins and the others do it every year. Nothing but raves about the experience. Gotta get there.

Yes! Make it happen. I went to my first show 3 summers ago I believe. I saw NMO, Chris Robinson Brotherhood and JJ Grey and MOfro one night and Galactic the next. Now I choose one show every year! Next year will either be Franti or TTB.

Damn, did not read this until this morning. Sorry to have missed this set. I’ve seen TTB so many times and frankly have grown a bit tired of their shows as good as they are and this brings to mind their recreation of “Mad Dogs and Englishmen” at Lockn’ a few years ago. Fabulous. A fond fond memory. I’ve often reflected and wished that they would do more sets like that. Most bands would suck attempting something like that but Derrick has a skill and a touch and a respect that allows him to pull it off.

It's still up to watch. Def worth checking out, especially the 2nd set. The guitar interplay between Derek, Trey, Doyle and Susan is amazing!

                      • Thanks! I thought the Layla set started a bit slow, but the final hour was crazy-good.

                          • I had watery eyes during the "Layla" coda, I'll admit. What a fantastic set. Instant Classic hardly does it justice.

                            • The Lockin set covering the entire album of "Layla" may be the greatest live set of music EVER. OK, that's subjective. But it is transcendent. And is at the very least in the conversation.

EVER? Highly subjective! Haha! I'll give you this week or month.
