This was so moving. Brought tears to my eyes. I am loving everything they are coming out with recently! Somehow, Gravity, Ain't That Something, etc etc. All of the I Am The Moon recordings are gems.

Sure was a good show. And we got a debut of their new song Last Night In the Rain!

Last night’s show in our middlin’-capacity auditorium was surprisingly good. Los Lobos, who have cultivated a fan base in our area for decades (gulp!) now, had the crowd grooving to the point that it seemed suddenly over - had an hour passed that quickly? TTB came out swinging and played a listener’s set, with rave-ups peppering a few fan favorites. I’d watched Derek’s interview with Rick Beato and I honestly believe there’s another gear/plateau in his future, and he’s got a great attitude about stretching-out on stage. I’m glad we grabbed floor-level dress circle tix as they were raised above the mostly-standing audience in the floor-tix seats. Pardon the guitar-geeking, but Derek’s use of his POG pedal (I believe) with an almost-dry sound is the best use of that effect I’ve ever heard. Here’s last night’s setlist

This is the start of the Greek Nugs webcast (the band comes on at about 5:38.) Hopefully, the full webcast will make it to You Tube... I love the BB King in Derek's playing. He said the band fell into the BB King groove the first time they played this song written by Susan and he thought, "OK, that's how this one is gonna go."

This audience one is actually from the LA Greek but, damn, what a solo by Derek! He always seems to take a deep breath and gather himself when they do this before he takes off on a textbook example of how to build a solo, this time taking a sec for a ponytail adjustment.

There are probably better videos than those in this article. It was quite the evening at the Greek in Berkeley. Hidalgo and Susan played Garcia’s “Alligator” guitar.

It's surprising Derek is so quiet on stage because he seems like he loves to talk in interviews. If you like TTB it's a must watch!

He has missed gigs a bunch of times over the years. I see others online wondering about last night but no one knows why he was not there.

Nice sentiment but another mid tempo, ok song by TTB.

As much as I was a big fan of Kofi the musician and the person, I think Gabe Dixon fits in this band even better as he sings and writes some decent songs.

Alas we were there Friday, but still a heck of a show. We enjoyed the TTB set at the Saenger in January better but that was one for the ages itself.
