This is the new song Gravity that they played on the first night at Red Rocks(It's in chops link) - but the band released this video. Freaking Little Feat reincarnated on this one. And that backbeat straight off Canal St. Derek straight fire - what a great song

The first ever live performance of "Gravity" from I Am The Moon: III. The Fall. Performed on the same day the album was released, live at Red Rocks in Morris...

You definitely get bang for your buck on this tour with Gabe opening, Los Lobos playing an hour or so and TTB playing over 2 hours.

Unfortunately they never come here to NOLA on these things, just The Saenger in January which I hope they do again in 2023. JF also in 2023 would be cool. They're overdue.

TTB and Nugs.net will do it one more time, for a fee. The Greek is one of the premier venues, my old stomping grounds from when I lived nearby off College Ave. and could take a bus or walk there. So many good nights with the Dead in the 8o's as well as memorable shows by Van, Elvis Costello, REM... The venue brings out the best. I actually first saw the Dead there in October 1967 on a bill with Charles Lloyd with Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette in the band so it has always been a special place for me.

"TTB will be streaming one final show from the 2022 Wheels of Soul tour on nugs.net at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on Saturday, August 20th. This stream will also include both the Gabe Dixon Band and Los Lobos sets as well. Pricing will be $19.99 for an HD stream with Swamp Family Fan Club members receiving a $5 discount code in their membership portal. You can purchase viewing access starting now and for more information visit nugs.net/ttblive."

Thanks for the link - I was at both shows - the Jerry Douglas Pasaquan is one of the best things I've seen/heard - had 4th row for this and damn I was in a straight up dancing old school boogie on that song. Had to let the freak flag fly.

I saw the 2nd night of the tour and was treated to all of the first release in order which hit the sweet spot for me. I have been following tour reports since and they kept ratcheting it up, adding in songs from the following pair, leading up to that monumental weekend at Red Rocks and the show with Jerry Douglas. They are now on a short break before heading to the West Coast to resume the Wheels Of Soul tour.

I would give my right nut to see the stop at the Greek Theater in Berkeley.

The Friday show amazingly started with an hour of new material. You gotta be pretty confident and in tune with your crowd to pull that off!

And Jerry Douglas sat in at the Ryman in 2020, their last show before Covid, for a five song acoustic set that was another TTB career highpoint. He seems to bring out the best in the band.

I hope you realise how lucky you are ! If I had been at that second night I think I might well have considered it a lifetime greatest show.

Thanks for posting this...I've just finished watching both. I thought the first night was excellent, but THE SECOND NIGHT... HOLY SHIT!! Both Los Lobos ad TTB were absolutely on fire and what a bonus having Jerry Douglas sitting in. I have tickets to catch them in London in early November, but I'm going to have to try to catch more than the one show I think.

All great sets. Managed to grab the audio from LL and TTB on both nights. Both bands on fire as usual!

Thanks. Yeah that converter I use will not work on these, probably too long. I'll rip the audio tomorrow if they are still up. Something tells me they will not be.

Sadly far too many people think that are entitled to get lots of things for nothing these days.

I often wonder how the free loaders think that the people involved with the process are going earn a quid.

I trust that Baz and the Krewe at LMF are doing well and fervently hope that Satchmo Fest brings some much needed Summer revenue to them, and everyone else.
I would say that 95% of the music on my Spotify playlists are from albums that I have already purchased. There are some Beatles, Stones, Kinks and Beach Boys stuff , for instance, that I have actually owned on 45, LP, eight track, cassette and CD. I own The Stones El Mocambo, Samantha Fish Faster, new TTB, new NRBQ on disc and they play regularly through Spotify as well. I just love going to record stores. It's been a big part of my life. Now they're really record stores again. Can someone explain why recording artists can't organize (yeah, I know. Get someone to organize for them) and go after the streaming services for more royalties? It happened with radio play, didn't it?

And, yeah, I used to travel a lot for work, too, and always took a Discman and some little speakers and some CDs. Hotel rooms can be so boring.

I was on a flight at least five years ago and a gal next to me was astonished I still owned a functional Discman and was using it to listen to music. While I do use my phone to connect to Spotify, I don't store music on it. It does come with me now on trips with a BlueTooth speaker so at least I have come that far. No more lugging a bunch of CDs.

Just went to the LMF to get the latest TTB CD and saw them setting up for Satchmo Fest. Have a good one those that go!!!
