        I saw them NYE in Macon - was better than expected. Duane Betts was great - played Hot Lanta and he did the feedback reverb thing at the end that was chilling.

        Some of their new songs coming out on the new record were very good.

              Is this the same venue that Galactic and Issac Hayes played a 2nd weekend Jazz Fest show around 1999? I remember that place being like a parking lot with gravel/dirt for the floor, not a concrete mecca like Sugar Mill.

                At the 5th Annual Treme Threauxdown, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will be joined by megawatt talent.

                Thought line-up details have yet to be announced, past guests have included Usher, Dierks Bentley, Andra Day, Nick Jonas, Wyclef Jean, Jon Batiste, Allen Toussaint, Juvenile, Dr. John, CeeLo, Ivan and Cyril Neville, Terence Blanchard, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Dirty Dozen Brass Band. That’s a collection suggesting this year’s event will continue Shorty’s trend of drawing top-notch talent to his signature Jazz Fest season event.

                This year’s Treme Threauxdown takes place at the Saenger Theatre on Saturday, April 27 during the opening weekend of the 2019 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

                Tickets for the event – which sold out in 2018 – go on sale Friday, January 11 at 10 a.m. CST at the Saenger Theatre Box Office, ticketmaster.com, LiveNation.com or by calling 800-745-3000. The box office, located at 1111 Canal St., is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

                                This is a new one, at least, something I haven't seen before at Saenger shows:

                                In all sections, the aisle seats and the seat adjacent are priced $20 higher than the other seats in the same row.
