These National Theatre Live presentations have been excellent - I've watched One Man Two Guvnors, Twelfth Night, Frankenstein with Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller, and most recently Antony & Cleopatra with Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo (which I also saw at the National). Each runs from Thursday 7.00 pm GMT to the following Thursday, before being replaced with the next play.

This production of Streetcar was actually staged at The Young Vic in 2014, and also has Vanessa Kirby from The Crown as Stella and Ben Foster as Stanley. It is only a 420 capacity theatre, and I remember being in an on-line queue for tickets for hours! However, it was excellent, and definitely worth checking out on-line.

Coriolanus with Tom Hiddleston (from the 250 seat Donmar Warehouse) is still to come - I tried every which way to get tickets for this, but without success, so looking forward to it immensely.

I know that it's not quite the same as being close enough to see the sweat and spit fly, but at least there is more legroom in my seat at home!

I've always been partial to the musical version.

I still haven’t gotten over Apu’s snub at the Tonys that year. What a performance.
