Thanks for sharing. That is a really nice lineup. if I wasn’t already in NOLA for Jazzfest that weekend, I would defiantly be heading to Lancaster, PA for that festival.

      • This festival is close enough in time, distance and lineup to provide names of potential JazzFest performers: https://pilgrimagefestival.com/

I think I saw Black Laurel?

              • I'm not sure how it looks on a phone, but on my computer, when I mouse-over a picture it shows the performer name. And if you click the pic it takes you to the band bio.

Tap the pic on your phone and the name of the artist shows up. Speaking of Lucinda, I had her new Petty tribute in the car for the rain soaked drive this morning. She's one of view besides Petty with the appropriately slurring voice to sing lines like "maybe a little rough around the edges and inside a little hollow....".

That lineup should be a big hit with Phillipino-American Methodists, but I am a bit worried if there will be sufficient number of Innuit pre-teens in attendance to make all the Panamanians feel comfortable.

I was just reading yesterday that Lucinda suffered a stroke late last year, and is currently having a load of voice rehab so that she will be able to sing again.

Thanks. We seniors often need help.

                          • It looks like Telluride’s gonna have to remain a bucket-list item for now... I have a pod, I suppose, but this’ll take more coordination than filling that Garden District VRBO house during Fest.

                            • Anyone ever been to The North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic? I'm thinking about cruising up there next month and checking it out. Even though most of my favorites from that scene like RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, T Model Ford and Paul "Wine" Jones are long gone it still looks like a lot of fun.

Keepin' the down home alive and Well Well Well....

The goal of the organization is to enhance appreciation and educate the general public about the native art form of North Mississippi Hill Country blues music through performance, preservation, and interpretation.

                              • The 2021 edition of MerleFest, presented by Window World, will feature performances by the stripped-down, rotating Tedeschi Trucks lineup that will be hitting the road this summer (Friday) as well as LeAnn Rimes (Friday), Sam Bush (Saturday), Melissa Etheridge (Sunday), and Mavis Staples (Sunday). Other scheduled MerleFest 2021 performers include Donna The Buffalo (all four dates), Scythian (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday), and The Waybacks (Friday and Saturday).

Additional artists scheduled to perform at the annual roots festival in the Blue Ridge Mountains will be announced in the coming weeks.

MerleFEst is 9/16-19. I wouldn't complain about TTB or Mavis making their way down here a couple or 3 weeks later.
