Swag....do you think Jazz Fest will make some sort of announcement ??
I had a request for a Jazz Fest booking at my STR/Airbnb. I told them that I was confident there would be no Spring Jazz Fest, but they booked anyway. I guess they don't believe me. Maybe they will believe Quint. I'm getting tired of accepting reservations that eventually cancel.

FWIW, we're 2-3 weeks away from when in a normal year, JF would announce the daily performer lineup.Visit my Jazzfest advice site: http://jazzfest.swagland.com/

Zero chance of an April/May Fest.
50% chance of an October Fest. That will either go down 10%/Month, or up 10%/Month between now and June. By that I mean, between now & June, they can tentatively book some acts, and form a rough schedule. If enough progress is made with vaccinations between now & June, they might decide to move forward, and put out the schedule and sell tickets in July.
President Biden has an ambitious plan to do 100 Million Shots in his first 100 Days. That's April 30. If that can be achieved, and IF the number of daily vaccinations is increasing via improved management, there's a chance for October.
I expect they'll announce a no-go on April/May by early February, perhaps even sooner. I sincerely doubt they have even bothered to book acts, or set up any type of schedule. My hope is that they don't outright rule out October, like they had to obviously do last year. They could leave it open as a possibility. If they decide to simply say it's off until 2022, that would be a bummer, and an indication that they foresee no possibility things will be getting back to normal by early Fall. Or at least not to the point they could allow that many people to all gather at the Race Track.

Have to agree there is no chance of a normal time Jazz Fest. No acts that I know of are planning any kind of touring that would allow any booking, something that would already have to have happened given the relatively short window til late April. Why bother doing that with a good chance it might not be doable. Whether they are actively planning for something in the Fall is an unknown but even that would be a chancey move business wise given what it might cost to organize something that might not come off. It seems to me it will be 2022.
