  • Bogalusa this weekend. We're just making a day trip on Saturday with the family. Looking forward to seeing a few of you there (I'm looking at you, Gards).

      Cheers
      Miss Heather.

It will be great to catch up with you and others, and with luck some of the Krewe that we have got friendly with, who have pitched a tent close to us in the campground over the years

Nice review, Jordan! and wonderful photos from Nancy. It was such a great time. Glad we got to run into you for a bit.

It's a beautiful setting and a really well-run festival. Can we get some more Threadheads to join us next year? September 16th & 17th 2023, on the beach in Asbury Park.

I do sadly note that there is mention that " all transactions and tickets will be handled with a RFID wristband".

Which is not what I wanted to see. Although existing shop owners and vendors have always sold their own wares, and I wonder if they will be forced to, and shall be willing to comply with a pain in the arse cashless system.

I hope that they can manage to get the big old ferry going again, as that is fun way to get there and back
You're in luck, Mate. The Gretna ferry will run throughout the Fest, last one leaves thirty minutes after the last act finishes. Wish my formerly mulleted head could be there: https://www.gretnafest.com/location.php

                  Thanks Skipper.

                  Look forward to it.

We received our wristbands yesterday. Which was bittersweet, as I was of course happy about it, but was getting more pissed off by the minute as they kept wanting various types of personal information to activate them to both be able to get in and purchase stuff.

                  Oh well. Shit happens.

Over the course of the next week I will check out places like good will etc and grab an old cassette recorder and try and make you a recording of the Beach Boys on a pristine BASF tape..

Unless Picklemic devises a better way of doing things.

I’m sure Mike Loves that. Try to get The Hermit’s set, too.

Sunday is absolutely packed. Going to be tons of FOMS for me that day no matter how it shakes out.

Gonzo's in Luling closed next two weeks for fest prep, I assume back open on the 21st.

Looks like they have a good crowd building up, as the lake front arena car park was filling up quickly and there was a long line to get into it, people were doubling back to park in the nearby Rouses car park, but I reckon they will get a fine if they stay in there too long.

All of Lake front drive was blocked off, so I could not ride along the waterfront past Franklin if I wanted to.

                              • This seems like a good spot to leave future me a note to lower expectations for “Fare Thee Well” segments at HSB. Heart is in the right place, but execution (prob a bad word choice, given the subject matter) is just not up to par.
