Slightly fanning the "speculating on a 22 Fest appearance by the Stones" flames is a 5/5/22 Fillmore Bowie show announcement from Karl Denson. As a newly-reformed stove=hot no-advance-tickets-ever guy I'll just have to take y'alls word about either of these show's epic-ness'es.

That Denson gig had been scheduled for October Jazzfest. Like so many others, after Jazzfest cancelled, it was rescheduled for next April/May. So I wouldn't read anything into it.

Originally posted by BrettM View PostThe Stones would have to start a whole new tour though, cause this one's about to wrap. Then again, they have been displaying the message "See you soon" at the end of recent gigs.
Looks like a 2022 European tour for them. I saw them Sat night in Austin. They still got it. Keith is just hangin' on but Mick and Ronnie were fantastic and everyone else were really good . Some of the best sound and visuals I've ever seen at a huge show. I hope they make it back here

Speaking of legendary, groundbreaking artists who "Still got it...", and have steadfastly maintained their creative integrity over the years, gracefully aging virtuosos, (and not just long forgotten old, elderly relics embarrassingly trying to cling to past faded glories) who are clearly only still playing to satisfy their pure, insatiable, undying love of the music, and are most certainly NOT simply greedily cashing in on nostalgia in a pathetic, naked, obscene, even demeaning cash grab, New Kids On The Block, Salt-N-Pepa, En Vouge and Rick Astley are kicking off their joint "Mix Tape" tour in beautiful Cincinnati, OH on May 10th, so hopefully the week before they can all get the Fairgrounds up and rockin' as a warm-up gig for their big upcoming campaign.

He's always been tops on my list of artists who belong at JF (as has Nick Lowe). I've ever seen one of his songs covered by a brass band.
Presale is Thursday, December 2nd @ 10am (password is SING2022)
