Anybody getting any inside scoop on this year.? Business as 'usual' for fest planning? We used to get some inside info when the bored was more active. Would take catastrophic numbers to cancel? Vaxed and boosted so if they are having it, I'm coming. Praying we don't feel the need for masks in tents, but I will do that if it seems prudent or required. Gotta figure attendance would be on lower side no matter what? Higher prices? They need to stay under the $100 mark for same day tix I would think? A $20 crabcake po boy is not out of the question. MArdis Gras could create a wicked surge in early March,hopfully that won't scare off city or foundation officials?

By MG Day most people will have already had COVID as the big surge is already here and all around the country. The Fest is gonna happen, lets just hope another variant doesn't hit by then.

I saw it mentioned on the Threadheads FB page that a lineup does exist and will be announced in a couple weeks. Can't confirm that for you, but add it to the hearsay pile.

Just announced, the city is reinstating the indoor mask mandate, effective tomorrow.

Not that I go out a lot but most places I do go most people are already wearing their masks indoors although I don't really go to bars much. Now during Mardi Gras, especially in bars I doubt it will stay that way. Hopefully this wave will have slowed way down by then.

The other reason I give people is the same reason I never tried heroin.... I don't want to one of "those people".... constantly staring at their cellphones when there are other things going on...

Smart phones and opiates. Both dangerous and highly addictive when abused. I bet it would be easier for a 20-year-old to kick smack than give up thier smart phone for a month.
