If you want to get Festy Dave's attention, post a thread about ticket sales.

Back in the Pet de Kat days, there was a sister forum called "New Orleans Kats & French Quarter Rats". To be called a Rat, you had to pass a test about "A Confederacy of Dunces".

                New and improved bored.

                I have an idea.

Lets make it hard for people to find the Forum via the Jazz Fest website.

This is scary; there are costs involved in hosting the board and if it's an orphan site it might disappear the next time the Fest gets a bill. I've seen that happen to other forums, although not with the membership numbers of this one.

Twitter is my favorite of the “social media” garbage.

                          I was a Rat (I passed).
That was my introduction to PdeK and ultimately this board.
Once every blue moon, I go back to the Delphi Forums to read some of those old posts.....

The question that needs to be answered.

Is why have they done this?

One would hope that is not about economics as I dont think the Jazz and Heritage Foundation are on the bones of their arse just yet.

Although obviously anyone can see the prominence given to the for profit social media entities on the home page.

Perhaps Quint can kick in to allow people to be able to access the bored, as he would be well aware the THCF was created through this forum and of the great work that it has done.

And it would be a terrible shame if people that have no interest in being involved with afore mentioned for profit socials continue to find that is is hard to know that the Jazz Fest Forum exists when they go to the Jazz Fest home page.

I suspect it has been a long time since this bored served any beneficial purpose for Fest. They have a FAQ page now and all the other social platforms.

Yep I agree and noticed the FAQ page, and would assume that they have some financial deals in place with the for profit social big wheels

But I just dont understand why they would deliberately make it hard for any new comer to find the bored.
