        • I saw Eric Lindell’s post about his Fest Rock’n’Bowl show with Nonc Nu and chuckled to myself. The Québécois and Cajuns already know, but I dealt with a guy, Nonc Dave, at the Isleton Crawdad Fest years ago. I finally asked what the Nonc meant… Mon Uncle, contracted WAY down to N’onc! Full disclosure: I took 5 years of French in school - but not the kind that would do me any good down the road!

              • Dos Jefes has their lineup posted. I always enjoy John Fohl there on a Monday evening.
Dos Jefes Uptown Cigar Bar in New Orleans has live jazz and blues 6 nights a week and never a cover charge.

My bad...Mononeon is a special guest at the Medeski, Moore, Skerik show, so he could show up there anytime...

I actually try and avoid most of these shows where they pair up a bunch of musicians who don't usually play together and are playing show after show after show like Ivan, Stanton, Medeski, Monoleon etc... They rarely rehearse and just jam around with each guy just doing what they do at all of the shows they play. The idea started back in the 90s when the Superjams started but those shows were usually at least rehearsed. At the very least it doesn't really matter when you get there as it's not like you will miss any particular song.
