Out at Faubourg. This is a pretty nice place. They have a disc golf course. Nigel Hall is playing now before Snarky. Lots of room, 2 stages, secured parking, hippies - what more could you want on a Tuesday? Maybe a little more shade by the stages but there is ample room to chill back and listen under the trees.
Snarky Puppy was pretty great and brought out Weedie Braima to play a song. Erica Falls is wailing now. I’m just waiting for the sun to set a little more to go back to the crowds. Only bitch about the shaded back part close to the High Rise is that the louder shit bounces off the brewery walls.Last edited by Biggus Dickus; 05-03-2022, 05:56 PM.

Coolers permitted, soft or otherwise? Chairs? Tarps/blankets? Beer and food? How’s the bag/gear/person search? (same/more/less than Fairgrounds?)
Looking forward to tomorrow, love the line-up -

Billy Strings just came out and did a slightly sped up version of Ramblin Man with Cheese. Super lax pretty much everything except coolers. They’re selling beer and water (also giving away tap) so might just need a flask. No metal detectors but a stick check of bags. They have 4 food trucks today - Chef Denisha had a plate of jambalaya with 6 wings pieces. Southern’s chicken is here fete au fete and another Cajun truck. Nothing too outrageously expensive and a really cool place to hang. Lots of freaks out but several families with little kids as well. Ran into Foo and his family all day (Gravity A, etc.). They seemed to be enforcing no re-entry though so keep that in mind.Last edited by Biggus Dickus; 05-03-2022, 08:54 PM.

A little more on this - so they have two stages. One is the main stage where the biggest acts play. Directly across the field and facing it is a small stage that is utilized during breakdowns and setups on the big stage. Eric Falls and her band, Nigel Hall and his band and a few other "smaller" acts were on the second stage. You can pretty much get to rail any time. There were people dancing in the crowds, but lots of people just laying out on blankets and whatnot throughout the day. You could get across the crowd from side to side anywhere from the front to the back without bumping into anyone. My guess is that there were probably 350-400 people there. There was a shakedown street in the back with about 4 merchants selling hippie dresses, umbrellas, etc. The VIP/Super VIP had access to the other side of the taproom and had a garden area that was partially covered. Something I thought was cool was all the trees they had planted on the "lawn" which included sycamores. They were a couple years in, but it'll be several more before they can provide shade for that particular area. It will be very nice once those grow in. Parking was free. Frenchy was there selling paintings as well.
Beer - eh. I never liked Faubourg much or when it was Dixie. I was able to drink a couple Daze Between brews which were okay if not a little sweet. And I had one Dat'suma. You can either pay as you go or open a tab that is available at every beer station or counter in the taproom. Bathrooms were ample and never had any lines (though they did run out of hand sanitizer). Who knew hippies were that sanitary - not me because there were a ton of them (even clean cut ones) who were barefoot and apparently didn't see an issue with walking into a port-o-john barefoot either.Last edited by Biggus Dickus; 05-04-2022, 12:02 PM.

As a heads up, d.b.a. is cancelling its early shows due to Covid-related staffing shortages. They plan to go ahead with late shows at this time.
This perhaps serves as a good reminder to check in-advance that the shows you have your eye on are still happening.
