I’m hoping that those of us with a Brass Pass, the LA Wallet app, and no bags to inspect will breeze right in.

Americana Fest in Nashville gave us health and safety check wristbands after we presented out vax cards. We were able to use the wristband throughout the festival. Of course I kept taking mine off and needing a new one, but it worked out very well at venue entry.

You'll be okay. You can use your iPhone.

Ah Ha Ha Ha. I hope that you enjoy your first Jazzfest. Quite clearly you have never been to one before.

Yes, it will slow things down--the first day of the weekend. Pilgrimage Festival had a long line the first day, checked vax status, then gave us wristbands that showed we were vaxxed. The next day we just showed our wristbands going through the gate. I imagine Jazzfest could do the same, with a separate line for people who were checked previously.

(oops--Missed Fich's post about Americana--yes, all the smart festivals are doing it!)

This will be my 32nd. I’ve learned a thing or three in that time. So while you’re picking your nose in that line snaking down Gentilly Blvd., I’ll have greeted my friend at the Creole’s Stuffed Bread booth — she’s been there every year I’ve been, except when her husband done took ill — and heading over to Gospel to get some churchin’ up.

But we all know this will never happen.

Maybe JF will be user friendly with testing near the front gate.
If it's anything like going to a saints game or pels game, expect it to be very loose as in anyone can pretty much get in. It's mostly outside except for the grandstands and in the tents, I'm not at all concerned as long as we are not into another big wave. There is no way they will require a negative test along with vax proof. Too many people would just stay away. As is I really wonder how attendance will be.

Maybe something like 1) vax card/phone app/photo ID check/ wristbanding 2) bag check, 3) ticket scan. Perhaps open the gates earlier to avoid the crazy people jam that happens at Sauvage and I presume at Gentilly also. If/when lines build up,, step 1 above could happen along them.

Will a picture on your phone of your vax card be OK, also in the clubs and bars?

Nothing announced yet, but likely yes. I'm sure the organizers will provide more details as the fest approaches.

You can get in Tips that way but it needs to match your ID.
