Sadly, it is likely the Foo Fighters cancel. A possible replacement is Pearl Jam. May 1 would be a good warm up to a summer tour scheduled to begin May 3 in San Diego.

Originally posted by Canine Horror View PostI realise that it's hardly a like for like replacement, but John Oates (yes, that one) is listed to play Chickie Wah Wah that night. A quick phone call to his old buddy Daryl, and voila, you've got yourself a Quint style headline act. Perhaps they would be a more appropriate face saver for when Stevie Nicks pulls out after sneezing sometime in the next two weeks.

Back to the original post, why is it unlikely that the Foo Fighters not pull a Stones and find a reasonable replacement? Most of these headliners haven't toured in a couple of years and need the exposure and dough. Check the schedules of the casinos next door in Mississippi for a reserve of last minute additions to the lineup in the event that some BNAcancels last minute. I think a Haulin' Oats quckie reunion is a bit of a stretch, but Lord Horror is right that Ms Nicks is always a wildcard. She's getting up there and had some health issues, but I understand. I'm getting older, too.

I'll put a plug in for David Byrne's American Utopia. Although I generally am not a BNA fester, it was a highlight of my 2018 Fest, after which I saw him do it again in Paris that summer (at the Philharmonie de Paris, one of the most beautiful concert halls I've ever been in) and then four or five times in NYC on Broadway. After 2+ years on Broadway (obviously with an interruption for the pandemic), they are ending their run on April 3 (yes, I have tickets to that performance, too). So while the members of the ensemble are all on to their next gigs, perhaps he could pull them all together for an encore performance!

Foos will not cancel. There is no way they will scrap all of those dates. Dave Grohl is the Foo Fighers. Taylor Hawkins was important to the dynamic but not essential. Not hatin but if the Stones go on without Charlie then the Foo's will follow that lead.
