Ticket Purchase In-Person

When tickets were sold at the dome, pre-covid, the fees started at $5, so the zero-fee opportunity last year was a nice surprise. Was it a late reaction to slow ticket sales? Or somethig always planned, but not announced to avoid cutting into online ticket fees? Last year it was early April before they announced the one day sale at Tips, and they didn't announce the day-before fest sale at the Fairgrounds until that week.

I tried to buy tix at the Fairgrounds last year but the lines were very long, not worth it as I only needed 2 tix.

Will there be a day when one can purchase Jazz Fest tickets in person at a box office or pop up venue? They did this in 2022, and it is a past practice and tradition of New Orleans Jazz Fest. I hope the new company handling tickets accommodates locals and reduces various service charges for locals. I know I am not alone in this request.
