A few Big Ears comments:

They tend to announce added bookings through the fall and winter, so stay tuned.

Nice to see Helen Gilet on the schedule--I think she fits perfectly.

Surprised that the Tim Berne/Aurora Nealand/Hank Roberts project wasn't booked, but they are touring this fall so perhaps their schedules didn't align.

Myra Melford's Fire and Water Quartet (w/Mary Halvorson, Tomeka Reid, and Lesley Mom) will be performing in New Orleans the following week (Saturday March 30) presented by the New Quorum. Tomeka and Mary (both MacArthur "genius" award winners for anyone keeping score at home) are also leading their own projects at Big Ears.

They aren't afraid to book artist two years in a row (Charles Lloyd, James Brandon Lewis, Julian Lage, etc.) but they will all be presenting different projects/groupings than they did last year. Continuity without movement equals stasis (JF should take note in my opinion.)

I plan to be there once again.
